TurboDrop® High Pressure Full Ceramic Nozzle (TDCFFC)

The TurboDrop® nozzle was originally designed in 1993 as a high pressure nozzle for improving penetration and coverage with contact chemicals. By producing larger, air filled droplets at high pressure; droplet velocity is maintained to allow for maximum canopy penetration. The air inside the droplet causes them to expand or even explode on contact for maximum coverage. (The TurboDrop® XL was introduced in 1998 to allow for slightly lower operating pressures.)

Description: High Pressure Full Ceramic TurboDrop®

All purpose air injection nozzle with high quality long life ceramic metering orifice. Allows high pressure for best coverage without drift problems.
30 - 150 psi Overall pressure range
40 - 120 psi Optimal pressure range

Polyacetal Venturi body with alumina ceramic metering orifice, ceramic exit tip and poly cap, DIF4 diffuser.

The Advantages: High Pressure Full Ceramic TurboDrop®

Reduced Drift
TurboDrop® eliminates the long vapor trails behind field sprayers and allows spraying in wind speeds twice that of conventional nozzles. Always follow label instructions for plant protection chemicals.
Better Penetration
The higher speed and larger size of the particles insure better penetration depth into the crop canopy.
Lower Water Usage
Because air as well as water is used as a carrier, reductions in water usage are possible. Always follow label instructions for plant protection chemicals.
Reduced Run-Off
The air-filled drops of the TurboDrop® tend to spread out on the plant surface rather than bounce off.
Greater Useful Pressure Range
TurboDrop® TDCFFC nozzles are designed for operating at pressures of 30-150psi, without drift problems and without high wear.
Improved Coverage
The air-filled drops collapse on contact and wet a greater leaf surface.
Reduced Nozzle Clogging
Because the metering orifice is round instead of elliptical, potential for clogging is reduced. Higher Driving Speeds
Larger drop size and higher velocity make it possible to operate at higher speeds and cover greater acreage more effectively.
Retrofit Capability
TurboDrop® nozzles and venturis fit wherever standard nozzles are installed.
Highest Wear-Resistance
The ceramic metering orifice, which is ten times harder than stainless steel, provides long-term accuracy and reduced tip wear.
